Every Arturex sculpture begins as a raw block of indigenous limestone or textured grill sandstone, hand-selected from local mineral deposits. Using only handheld tools and collective wisdom passed down through centuries, our artisans spend weeks coaxing minimal, contemporary forms out of ancient stone.

We Do Not Manufacture.

We completely bypass industrial factories. By maintaining a transparent, ethical supply chain, every single piece you purchase directly ensures sustainable, fair-wage livelihoods for rural stone-carving families. This direct partnership funds community infrastructure and guarantees that this irreplaceable human art survives in an increasingly automated world.

The Heritage of Indonesian Stone

Our materials are sourced directly from the earth surrounding our artisans’ villages. We work primarily with two distinct natural mediums:

• Indonesian Limestone: A porous, tactile stone that captures light beautifully, showcasing soft cream tones and subtle organic patterns formed over millennia.

• Grill Sandstone: A dense, heavily textured sedimentary stone known for its raw, tectonic lines and deep, earthy gradients.

We do not correct the stone, nor do we hide the hand of the maker. The natural mineral veins, slight shifts in earth tones, and visible chisel markers are celebrated signatures of authenticity.
